History [ edit ]
GWF podcast creators and hosts, Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson, first met in New York Urban center when Hutchinson became an intern at a talent management company where Fisher worked as a talent manager's assistant. [iv] [nine] Prior to moving to New York, Hutchinson lived in Pennsylvania and Fisher grew upwardly in New Jersey. [ii]
In 2010, Hutchinson landed an internship at Saturday Nighttime Alive and a writer for the show suggested that if Hutchinson wanted to somewhen perform on SNL she should try stand up-upwardly comedy. [10] Hutchinson invited Fisher to her first stand up-upwards set; [4] [10] Fisher was already performing stand-upwards comedy at the time. [10] Consequently, Fisher asked Hutchinson if she would be interested in working on a one-act deed and afterwards that twelvemonth they launched a live comedy show called Sad About Last Dark, a name they would too adopt for their one-act duo. [i] [2] [4] During the Distressing About Last Night shows, the hosts would invite an audience member onstage to tell a story about how someone did them wrong, with the requirement that the audience member had this other person's phone number. [4] Later on telling the story, the hosts and guest would prank phone call that person. [4]
In 2013, Fisher had what she described to Mother Jones as a "nervous breakdown" after an unexpected breakdown with a man she had hoped to marry. [1] Fisher sought Hutchinson for solace and got the idea to have a prove where she could interview her ex-boyfriends and lovers to discover out where things went wrong, similar to John Cusack's graphic symbol in the 2000 film High Allegiance . [ane] [2] In December of that year the duo launched the GWF podcast. [4] [10]
What started as a forum for Fisher and Hutchinson to interview their one-time sex partners, later evolved into a bear witness featuring a variety of guests, including sex activity columnist Dan Savage, The Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, model and actress Amber Rose, quondam president of the American Civil Liberties Union Nadine Strossen, and pornographic actor Stoya. [ane] [10] [11] From 2014 to 2015 Fisher and Hutchinson as well hosted a web series on YouTube called Girls On Girls, where they would recap and annotate on episodes of the comedy-drama television series Girls . [iv] [12]
In 2016, the comedy duo embarked on Guys We Fucked: Live Feel an interactive one-act bout of several cities across both the U.s. and Canada. [half dozen] [thirteen] The GWF tour included ii shows at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal and where they managed to sell the most tickets out of any other performer at the festival that year. [thirteen] Guests included fellow comedians Ms. Pat and Big Jay Oakerson. [13]
The GWF alive prove appeared at the JFL42 festival in Toronto in 2017. [12] That same twelvemonth also saw the release of Fisher and Hutchinson's showtime book, F*cked: Being Sexually Explorative and Self-Confident. [six] [12]

[fourteen] Guests of the testify included comedians Michael Che, Harrison Greenbaum, Mehran Khaghani and Jessica Kirson. [14] The show managed to raise $viii,000 for the Reproductive Health Access Project and New Alternatives, a nonprofit that works with homeless youth in the LGBTQ+ customs. [15]
The GWF podcast moved to the Luminary podcast app in 2022. [16]

GWF initially featured interviews with former and electric current sexual partners of Fisher and Hutchinson. [1] [ii] The hosts' intent was to combat slut-shaming by engaging in open up and frank dialogue about their own sex lives.
